How to book the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

When to book a Beaufort, NC rental home & When to go:

  • Booking in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

Planning and choosing your prefect Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Select dates and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Moonlight Suite 198* has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.

Know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Call the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
