Tips to get the perfect Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Near Oceanfront Condo at Tar Landing Villas - Adjacent to Ft Macon State Park has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
