Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Beaufort, NC rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking your Beaufort, NC vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the perfectrental home:

  • First and foremost, have your family select the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Sound Of The Sea North 212, Almost Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
