Beaufort, NC vacation rental home tips:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the perfect rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • To start, have your family choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. SeaSpray 124, Oceanside Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.

During your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
