Strategies for getting the perfect Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Selecting the best vacation home:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. The Wronkonental, Almost Oceanfront House in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC destination you crave, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
