Strategies to get the optimal Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning and choosing a perfectrental home:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 2nd row, Pool, game room, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, pet friendly has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
