Atlantic Beach just made #16 in the list of Top 100 Beaches in the United States, beating out even beaches in Hawaii! Truly a hidden gem, as this part of the island doesn't have public access, beyond a few cars, so it's just folks staying right there. https://www.wect.com/2023/06/21/100-best-beach-towns-us/

Full kitchen, enormous 36' x 12' patio with charcoal grille and huge sectional, multiple rocking chairs, and porch swing, dining area, living room, full bathroom, queen bedroom, dual twin bedroom, two rollaway beds, laundry in unit, beach outdoor shower. Home away from home!

The entire unit of the duplex will be yours. This property is smoke-complimentary, meaning you must leave the property completely if you wish to smoke. This is a pet-complimentary property.

My favorite spot in the home is the massive 36' x 12' patio with the porch swing, and giant sectional seating area. I adore that I can hear the waves crash from here.

Things To Do:

Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • To start, have your family agree to a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Barefoot Beach South: Fantastic location, steps from sand with views of the bay! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your trip.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
