Rental property booking tips:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To get the best rental home within budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Soundfront Complex, pool, steps from beach! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your group.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
