Tips and Tricks to get the very best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Beaufort. To book the most suitable rental within your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, NC attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose your prefectrental:

  • Start by having your group decide on date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. One Bedroom Carriage House- 131 Craven Street\n300 feet from Beaufort Waterfront has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC beach you love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More considerations:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Contact the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
