Tips for getting the perfect Beaufort rental experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Reserve your Beaufort, NC vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your rental search:

  • First, have your family decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. One Bedroom Carriage House- 131 Craven Street\n300 feet from Beaufort Waterfront has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. text the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
