Tricks and tips to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Selecting the best rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Choose your vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Cozy 3-bedroom townhome\/duplex in gorgeous Club Colony area Atlantic Beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
