Beaufort, NC rental home booking tips:

Get the best value:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Historic Corner Cottage - newly renovated kitchen, bathroom & bedroom floors has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
