Tips to get the perfect rental home experience:

When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and pick the perfect Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Just a Fluke - Ocean cottage 2nd row has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
