About this Property

Wonderful DIRECT SEA FRONT duplex a few hundred yards from the only Fishing Pier on the west end of the island. Both Whithaven 1 & Whithaven 2 are owned by the Whitley family. The Oceanana Pier is just steps away from 'Whithavens' additional sizable outdoor space. Each side has 3 BR's (king, queen and 2 twins) and 2 1/2 baths plus an additional generous L shaped couch. The children appreciate sleeping on the couch too so everybody can appreciate themselves. (dog friendly too with additional pet fee).

During the previos offseason the whole unit was repainted, new ceilings and more upgrades plus increased parking up front from renovating our entry enclosure is sure to please. We use lock boxes for keys so no in person contact is standard for our units. We have an outdoor enclosed shower with HOT and cold water to rinse off after the beach or to use for your everyday shower (which I highly recommend and great for dogs and cats too).

We give pretty much everything you need to walk into the unit and savor your stay. We give linens, bath towels, paper goods when available (restock if you can and bring some just in case), completely supplied kitchen with everything you need other than food. We have a hammock, beach chairs, beach toys, grilles and hotel grade outdoor space and lounge chairs. We can't promise sunshine but the weather is usually better than at home. Come with your own beach towels and toiletries and you will be ready for a calming holiday.

2019 & 2020 updates include new floor, new paint, new refrigerator, new dishwasher, new linen service supplied and our massive outdoor space is ready for you. Also, our new cleaning service is focused on including the best possible service for each and every stay with enhanced cleaning procedures per 2021 guidelines.

We have a entirely supplied kitchen with various spices, zip lock bags, aluminum foil etc. are standard. Spare paper products (when available) are in the bottom drawer beside the refrigerator. Please replace what you use if you can for the next visitors.

Let's face it, you come to the beach to enjoy the beach so you might as well be RIGHT ON THE SEA with a massive outdoor space made for 'savoring' all the beach ambience you can. While we make the inside as comfortable as we can with TV's, alluring beds and full kitchen, it's very about being outdoor at the beach.

That's why we tore down our old outdoor space and replaced it with a 3 level outdoor space. Each side has their own 3rd level upstairs outdoor space off of each master bedroom with a privacy wall in the middle. It's ideal for working on your tan in private or relishing the sunsets. The main living area has an additional enormous outdoor space with a bar top constructed around each side of the privacy wall. This gives you privacy when you want it but makes it painless to enjoy your family and friends outdoor whenever you want. We give plenty of chairs and picnic tables so you can choose to eat outdoor or easily enjoy your favorite drink (or 2 or 3) while watching the waves crash on the beach or watching the fishermen on the pier. The additional wide walkway (ideal for strolling hand in hand with someone special) takes you down the steps to the lower outdoor space that is ideal for some additional privacy or can be used as a smoking section away from the main unit.

The ground level has picnic tables and a gas grille for each side. When you come in off of the beach if you feel like an outdoor shower each side has their own covered and enclosed shower underneath the outdoor space with HOT and cold water. Rinse off your surfboard (one of the prime surfing spots on the whole Island), your family dogs and cats or rinse off the sand from the supplied body boards and beach chairs.

The garage is ideal for storing your bicycles or additional outdoor items like kayaks, paddle boards or parking a car. Dart board and corn hole give you something to do on those rainy days. Whithaven very is a special place. Please rent your stay and become one of the Whithaven clan.

If Whithaven 2 is unavailable for your dates the other side of the unit may be avalable or rent both for your group. Whithaven 1 (666413) is the sister side of the duplex and also is on Vacation Rental By Owner/HomeAway. If you can't find it send me an e-mail and I will check the status as well. If you have any other questions please e-mail, text or call Lee.

*** Please note linen and bath towel service IS included in the base rate. Beds are King, Queen and Twins. ***

Parking for 2 or 3 cars is normal but if you have greater parking needs please contact the owner to discuss prior to renting.

Wallet-Friendly Tips

  • Search for the tourism bureau where you want to vacation. Most established tourism bureaus will offer you printed guides with special packages for lodging, restaurants and attractions. These guides may provide a good start to your rental search.
  • Are you willing to alter your travel dates? Off-peak rates are usually a fraction of top fees.
  • Are you a armed forces veteran? Several vacation rental companies provide discounts to veterans and active-duty military. Be sure to confirm with vacation rental company to see if your vacationing gang is eligible for a reduction.
  • Some homes are primarily designed for specific groups of guests. Large event homes are great for weddings, receptions and corporate meetings. Some properties appeal to wildlife enthusiasts. Other rentals are positioned close to night life. If there's a specific Beaufort, NC activity that you love, look for rental properties that cater especially to you.
  • Management companies and individual property owners often offer their guests the chance to buy trip insurance coverage. Trip insurance, which generally add somewhere between 1% - 5% of the basic vacation rental price, offers visitors reimbursement of their trip expenses for any missed due to personal health related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing extra hurricane evacuation costs or expenses, like an unexpected hotel room stay or additional gas.

How to Book a Rental Home

Where to find and reserve a great rental property:

Do you think "DIRECT OCEANFRONT Duplex with large 3 level deck next to Oceanana Fishing Pier." is the perfect vacation property for your upcoming vacation? Read through this checklist to ensure it fits all of your preferences.

Search Early and Often

Beaufort, NC rentals start booking very early. To find the best selection, begin your planning and search 6-12 months in advance of your trip. Holiday reunions are a popular time for families to plot their Summer escapes..

Pick a Village and Time

Consensus can be tough among relatives, but the moment this difficult part is complete everything will quickly drop in place.

Just How Many Bedrooms?

How many relatives are joining your trip? Try to remember that a lot of rentals advertise maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in the living area. You'll need to figure out what is acceptable for your company. Precise descriptions of bedrooms and beds are usually available on the internet. If not, communicate with the property manager before you reserve the home.

Create a Budget

Many vacation rentals are presented with a cost range. Confirm the cost for your desired stay. It may be at the high end of the range. If several individuals or family members are sharing the cost, make certain each group understands their obligations and has agreed to a maximum they are prepared to contribute. Usually, a single member of the group will be liable for making the whole reservation and getting each person's contribution.

Let's Discuss Amenities

What home features is your family searching for? Is a screened-in deck a requirement? Do you wish to be far from the crowds, or near civilization? Are mattress sheets offered with the rental, or do you need to bring your own? Build a list of priority amenities to help narrow your search.

Accessibility and Special Factors to consider

Optimal accessibility could make or ruin a visit for the less-mobile. If wheel chair accessibility, elevators, pool lifts or other specialized equipment is required, include that into your search. The majority of rental home listings include a list of amenities.

Have You Considered 4-Legged Family Members?

Remember to include your pets. Even though quite a few vacation rentals allow dogs, guidelines and fees fluctuate per rental. Many restrictions may possibly eliminate a potential rental. Study your contract very carefully! Extra fees may apply when pets are added.
