About this Property

Striking DIRECT SEA FRONT duplex a few hundred yards from the only Fishing Pier on the west end of the island. Both Whithaven 1 & Whithaven 2 are owned by the Whitley family. The Oceanana Pier is just steps away from 'Whithavens' additional generous outdoor space. Each side has 3 BR's (king, queen and 2 twins) and 2 1/2 baths plus an additional sizable L shaped couch. The children adore sleeping on the couch too so everybody can savor themselves. (dog friendly too with additional pet fee).

During the previos offseason the whole unit was repainted, new ceilings and more upgrades plus increased parking up front from renovating our entry enclosure is sure to please. We use lock boxes for keys so no in person contact is standard for our units. We have an outdoor enclosed shower with HOT and cold water to rinse off after the beach or to use for your everyday shower (which I highly recommend and great for dogs and cats too).

We give pretty much everything you need to walk into the unit and appreciate your stay. We give linens, bath towels, paper goods when available (restock if you can and bring some just in case), completely supplied kitchen with everything you need other than food. We have a hammock, beach chairs, beach toys, grilles and hotel grade outdoor space and lounge chairs. We can't promise sunshine but the weather is usually better than at home. Come with your own beach towels and toiletries and you will be ready for a calming holiday.

2019 & 2020 updates include new floor, new paint, new refrigerator, new dishwasher, new linen service supplied and our massive outdoor space is ready for you. Also, our new cleaning service is focused on including the most excellent possible service for each and every stay with enhanced cleaning procedures per 2021 guidelines.

We have a thoroughly supplied kitchen with various spices, zip lock bags, aluminum foil etc. are standard. Spare paper products (when available) are in the bottom drawer beside the refrigerator. Please replace what you use if you can for the next visitors.

Let's face it, you come to the beach to enjoy the beach so you might as well be RIGHT ON THE SEA with a massive outdoor space made for 'appreciating' all the beach vibe you can. While we make the inside as appealing as we can with TV's, gorgeous beds and full kitchen, it's very about being outdoor at the beach.

That's why we tore down our old outdoor space and replaced it with a 3 level outdoor space. Each side has their own 3rd level upstairs outdoor space off of each master bedroom with a privacy wall in the middle. It's ideal for working on your tan in private or savoring the sunsets. The main living area has an additional sizable outdoor space with a bar top constructed around each side of the privacy wall. This gives you privacy when you want it but makes it smooth to enjoy your family and friends outdoor whenever you want. We give plenty of chairs and picnic tables so you can choose to eat outdoor or easily enjoy your favorite drink (or 2 or 3) while watching the waves crash on the beach or watching the fishermen on the pier. The additional wide walkway (ideal for strolling hand in hand with someone special) takes you down the steps to the lower outdoor space that is ideal for some additional privacy or can be used as a smoking section away from the main unit.

The ground level has picnic tables and a gas grille for each side. When you come in off of the beach if you feel like an outdoor shower each side has their own covered and enclosed shower underneath the outdoor space with HOT and cold water. Rinse off your surfboard (one of the prime surfing spots on the whole Island), your dogs and cats or rinse off the sand from the supplied body boards and beach chairs.

The garage is ideal for storing your bicycles or additional outdoor items like kayaks, paddle boards or parking a car. Dart board and corn hole give you something to do on those rainy days. Whithaven very is a special place. Please rent your stay and become one of the Whithaven clan.

If Whithaven 2 is unavailable for your dates the other side of the unit may be avalable or rent both for your group. Whithaven 1 (666413) is the sister side of the duplex and also is on Vacation Rental By Owner/HomeAway. If you can't find it send me an e-mail and I will check the status as well. If you have any other questions please e-mail, text or call Lee.

*** Please note linen and bath towel service IS supplied in the base rate. Beds are King, Queen and Twins. ***

Parking for 2 or 3 cars is normal but if you have greater parking needs please contact the owner to discuss prior to renting.

Search Early and Often

Like many desirable hot spots, In Beaufort, NC the best vacation rentals are booked early. For the best selection, begin your planning and search Six-12 months before your trip. Holiday reunions are a great time for groups to plan their Summer holiday escapes..

Find your Spot and Confirm Dates

Quite often, the most challenging portion of planning your trip is figuring out where to search, and when. Once the big decisions are hammered out, the rest becomes easier.

Just How Many Beds?

Keep a list of attendees. How many beds and bedrooms will you need? Try to remember that most rentals advertise maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in the living room space.
