Booking the best vacation rental experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • To find the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Beaufort, NC restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Not Your Typical Beach Rental Fully Stocked House has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
